What exactly is the International Driving Permit?

International Driving Permit is a 100% legal and valid UN standard compliant international driver’s permit which consists of:

- An eIDL* or an electronic version of the permit which is in fact a localized version of your existing national ID issued according to the UN Convention of Road Traffic, is issued to you upon successful application.

- A plastic ID card of the permit is also available & can be purchased separately. In most cases, both eIDL & plastic ID card work fine with car rentals & traffic police worldwide.
